Credentials needed for ongoing service configuration and operation by customer administrators are stored encrypted in our Key Management System (KMS). All other credentials are hashed and stored securely in the KMS. Strict access control prevents non-programmatic access and all credential retrievals and maintenance activities of the KMS itself are logged and monitored.
