No. It's a single node on shared CPU, with no high availability and no SLA. Use it for building and testing. For applications serving end users, choose Startup or Business.
About 10 to 15 GB of ClickHouse data fits comfortably in the 25 GB disk. The rest is working room ClickHouse needs for background merges. For example, a 100 million row ClickBench dataset (13.4 GB) fits. Load data in batches rather than one large insert.

There's no free ClickHouse plan. New Aiven accounts get $50 in free credits, which you can use on the Developer tier. After that, it's $43/month.
No. The Developer tier runs the current default version, and maintenance updates apply automatically.
Yes. Upgrade when your data passes about 15 GB, when an application or several people query the service, or when you need high availability, a VPC or another cloud. Startup gives you dedicated CPUs, 8 GB RAM and 100 GB of expandable storage. The upgrade takes one click in the Aiven Console, and your data and connection string stay the same. Moving a Startup, Business or Premium service down to the Developer tier is not supported.
No. Storage is fixed at 25 GB, and tiered storage is available on Startup and higher.
No. Forking isn’t supported on the Developer tier. For a same-size test copy, create a new Developer tier service and reload the data. To move to a larger plan, upgrade the service.
No. The Developer tier uses a public endpoint secured with TLS. VPC peering and static IPs are available on higher plans.
