Aiven for OpenSearch® cross-cluster search now in limited availability

Cross-cluster search for Aiven for OpenSearch® is now in limited availability. Connect your Aiven for OpenSearch service to another OpenSearch cluster and query indices on both clusters in a single search request.

You can now:

• Manage remote clusters in the Aiven Console, from the Cross-cluster search section on your service's overview page. Add a remote cluster to search, or allow another cluster to search yours.
• Set a custom cluster alias to use in the <alias>:index query syntax, instead of relying on the automatically derived name.

Both services must run the same OpenSearch major version and have matching security management settings. Contact Aiven to enable cross-cluster search for your project.
