Manager, Sales Operations
Cork, Ireland
Sales Operations sits inside Revenue Operations (RevOps) at Aiven. The team runs the operating rhythm behind our global sales organization: forecasting, pipeline analytics, territory and account management, and the reporting that tells our sales leaders where the business stands. We partner daily with Sales leadership in EMEA, AMER, and APAC, with our OEM team and with Marketing, and Finance team to turn data into decisions that grow revenue.
About the Role
As Manager, Sales Operations, you own the engine that keeps our global sales organization measurable and fast. You'll lead a Sales Operations team and act as the primary RevOps partner to our regional Sales VPs, responsible for forecast accuracy, pipeline health, and the insight that shapes where we invest.
This is not a classic reporting role. RevOps at Aiven is building an AI-native, self-service intelligence layer for our GTM teams, and you will lead that shift for Sales Operations. The goal: every VP and every rep gets the data they need at their fingertips, without filing a request and waiting. You'll replace manual data pulls with automated insight, support building agentic workflows on top of Salesforce, and treat GTM Engineering as core to the job, not a side project.
You report to the Senior Director, Revenue Operations and are part of the RevOps leadership team.
What You'll Do
- Own the sales operating cadence: weekly forecasts, pipeline reviews, and QBRs. Make them sharp, fast, and grounded in data the field trusts.
- Act as the strategic partner to our regional Sales VPs. Bring a point of view on pipeline coverage, conversion, and velocity, and challenge the regions when the numbers say something they don't want to hear.
- Build the self-service intelligence layer for Sales: automated KPI reporting, high-intent signals routed directly to reps, and feedback loops that tell us whether the insight actually lands. Success looks like fewer ad-hoc requests to your team, not more headcount to answer them.
- Drive GTM Engineering hands-on: design and ship agentic workflows and LLM-based automations that eliminate manual data entry with your team, enrich accounts automatically, and replicate your team's expertise in software.
- Run territory planning, quota deployment, and account hierarchies through the annual and quarterly planning cycles, in partnership with Sales leadership and Finance.
- Lead, coach, and develop your team. Set clear priorities, unblock execution, and grow two strong operators into a self-sustaining function.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years in Sales Operations or Revenue Operations in B2B SaaS, spent close to quota-carrying teams. You know how a forecast call works, what makes reps ignore a dashboard, and where pipelines actually leak.
- A track record as a trusted commercial partner to senior sales leaders. Scope you've owned matters more than titles.
- Strong analytical capability: you can build the model, interpret it, and present the "so what" in a way that changes a VP's decision. Deep Salesforce reporting experience required; SQL and BI tools a plus.
- A real point of view on AI in sales operations. You've used Claude or equivalent LLMs in production workflows, you've automated work that used to be manual, and you can tell the difference between a vendor demo and a working capability.
- The instinct to build systems instead of answering tickets. When the same question arrives twice, your reflex is to automate the answer.
- Stakeholder backbone. Comfortable pushing back on a VP when you think they're wrong, and comfortable being pushed back on when you are.
- People leadership experience, or a credible case for why you're ready. You'll manage a small distributed team from day one.
- Comfort in a company that still feels like a scale-up: ambiguity, context-switching, occasional fire drills, and the freedom to fix what's broken.
Don't worry if your experience doesn't line up perfectly - we still encourage you to apply! We believe in investing in our crabs' professional growth.
