We proactively monitor all services 24/7/365. Our personnel are automatically alerted to any service anomalies for immediate resolution. Additionally, your account includes email and chat support. Aiven Apps is ideal for lean teams who need enterprise-grade apps without the overhead of a dedicated DevOps army, allowing them to go from zero to an internal app in minutes with minimal settings or configurations.

The free plans are limited in size but can be run indefinitely free of charge. The full platform free trial gives you $300 of credit for 30 days that you can use on any service types and plan sizes. You can run free services alongside your trial, they will not impact your trial credits and will continue to run after the trial has expired.

Aiven Apps is built on open standards. If your application can be containerized with a Containerfile, it can run natively on Aiven. This ensures you can keep your existing clients and workflows without learning platform-specific configurations.

No. Because Aiven Apps uses commonly used public file formats like Docker Compose and community standards, you retain full control of your stack. You can move your logic across clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) without a rewrite.

Aiven Apps provides a "Secure Data Perimeter" by running your code inside the same VPC or network boundary as your production data. This ensures that "what happens in the VPC, stays in the VPC," minimizing security vulnerabilities associated with moving data across different providers.

Running apps locally within the data perimeter minimizes egress fees that typically occur when moving massive datasets to external platforms for processing.

Aiven Apps is not intended as a general-purpose web host for public-facing, high-scale web apps. It is also not a replacement for complex ETL platforms like Apache Flink; it targets the 80% of data-layer logic that is too complex for simple configuration but too light for a full stream-processing platform.
